easypaisa digital bank and KTrade have partnered to simplify stock market investing in Pakistan. The collaboration allows users to open a Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) investment account through the easypaisa app.

The partnership was formally unveiled at a ceremony in Islamabad last week. Senior officials from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), Central Depository Company (CDC), easypaisa and KTrade attended the event.

Users can complete the digital onboarding process in about 10 minutes. The service removes much of the paperwork linked to traditional brokerage account opening.

According to the companies, the partnership produced an immediate result. easypaisa and KTrade recorded the highest number of investment accounts opened in a single day in PSX history.
