KARACHI : Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited Jamia Darul Uloom Korangi in Karachi and met Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.

Mufti Taqi Usmani’s son, members of the administration and faculty welcomed the governor. Governor Nehal Hashmi also offered Zuhr prayers at the institution.

Governor discusses education and social issues

During the meeting, Governor Nehal Hashmi and Mufti Taqi Usmani discussed religious education, academic matters and social issues.

They also discussed ways to promote religious education and strengthen youth character-building. The two sides also highlighted the need for social reform.

Governor Nehal Hashmi praised Jamia Darul Uloom Korangi for its religious and academic services. He also appreciated Mufti Taqi Usmani’s contributions to Islamic scholarship and education.

Jamia offers religious and modern education

Mufti Taqi Usmani told the governor that the Jamia provides religious education alongside Matric, O-Level and A-Level programmes.

He also explained the examination system of Wifaq-ul-Madaris. Students across Pakistan take the examinations on the same day and at the same time.

Mufti Taqi Usmani accepts conference invitation

During the meeting, Governor Nehal Hashmi invited Mufti Taqi Usmani to attend the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference at Governor House as the chief guest.

Mufti Taqi Usmani accepted the invitation.

The two sides also discussed the objectives of the conference. They stressed the importance of sharing the message and teachings of the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
