KARACHI: Meezan Bank has crossed Rs3.05 billion in cumulative disbursements under the government’s Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Programme – Ghar Ho Tu Apna (GHTA).
The milestone strengthens the bank’s position in Pakistan’s affordable housing market. It also highlights growing demand for Shariah-compliant home financing.
Through its Easy Home financing solution, Meezan Bank has helped 490 families achieve home ownership. The bank provided the financing through 100% Shariah-compliant arrangements.
The bank said the milestone reflects rising customer interest in Islamic housing finance. It also underlines Meezan Bank’s focus on ethical and transparent financial solutions.
Meanwhile, the bank continues to expand its housing finance operations across Pakistan. Its nationwide branch network and dedicated housing finance teams support customers through the financing process.
In addition, Meezan Bank has approved more than 3,000 housing finance applications under the GHTA programme.

These approvals represent financing of more than Rs22.557 billion. The amount creates a strong pipeline for future disbursements as customers complete their property purchases.
The growing pipeline also points to sustained demand for Shariah-compliant housing solutions.
Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head of Consumer Finance and Digital Banking at Meezan Bank, said affordable home ownership remains a key strategic priority.
“Surpassing PKR 3 billion in disbursements under the Ghar Ho Tu Apna Programme reflects the trust our customers place in us and our commitment to providing authentic Shariah-compliant housing finance,” he said.
Siddiqui added that more than 3,000 approved applications would support further growth in housing finance.
“We remain committed to supporting the government’s affordable housing agenda and enabling thousands more Pakistani families to own a home through ethical Islamic financing,” he said.
Meezan Bank said it would continue expanding its housing finance portfolio through innovative and customer-focused solutions.
Furthermore, the bank aims to make home ownership more accessible to Pakistani families through Shariah-compliant financing.
The bank also said its housing finance expansion would support Pakistan’s wider housing sector. At the same time, increased home ownership could contribute to economic activity and create long-term value for families.
With its growing financing pipeline, Meezan Bank expects to play a greater role in the government’s affordable housing programme.
