The sessions, titled “Pakistan Economic Outlook: FY2027 and Beyond,” focused on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors. Participants examined economic reforms, investment opportunities, and policy measures needed to support sustainable growth and improve long-term financial resilience.
More than 100 words into the discussions, Pakistan Outlook remained the central theme as experts analyzed the country’s macroeconomic trajectory and policy direction for FY2027.
The sessions featured Amin Khan Lodhi, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan; Khurram Schehzad, Adviser to the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue; Dr. Ali Hasanain, Associate Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS); economic analyst Khurram Husain; and Ali Khizar, Director Research at Business Recorder.
They shared perspectives on fiscal reforms, monetary policy trends, inflation, financial stability, and strategies to strengthen Pakistan’s economic resilience in the coming years.
BankIslami’s senior leadership, including President and Chief Executive Officer Rizwan Ata, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Imran H. Shaikh, and Group Head Treasury & Financial Institutions Rizwan Malik, also attended the sessions.
Rizwan Ata said Pakistan’s long-term economic progress depends on constructive engagement between policymakers, economists, businesses, and financial institutions.
He said BankIslami’s role extends beyond traditional banking by promoting accessible Riba-free, Shariah-compliant financial services while supporting sustainable economic development and national prosperity.
BankIslami said the dialogue reflects its expanding role in Pakistan’s financial sector by encouraging closer alignment between public policy, economic research, and business priorities.
The bank added that such engagements support the development of a more resilient and inclusive financial ecosystem built on Shariah-compliant banking principles while helping stakeholders prepare for the opportunities and challenges of FY2027.
