Project Green Horizon Launches to Plant One Million Trees Across Karachi

Hope Bridge Welfare Organization launched Project Green Horizon with a major tree plantation drive at KIET University Ahsanabad Campus on Saturday. The campaign aims to plant one million trees across Karachi.

The event brought together community leaders, environmental advocates, youth organizations, and government representatives. Participants pledged to reduce urban heat, fight climate change, and create a greener city.

Project Green Horizon is led by the Hope Bridge Welfare Organization’s executive team. The leadership includes President Nazneen Sohail, Vice President Naureen Abbas, Secretary Ali Zain, Joint Secretary Mobeen Yousuf Zai, Finance Secretary Zaeem Sohail, and other executive members.

Dignitaries Attend the Event

The plantation drive attracted prominent guests from government, law enforcement, and civil society.

Ali Ahmed Jan, Member of the Provincial Assembly (PS-116 Karachi West), attended as the chief guest.

Shariq Jamal, Member of the Provincial Assembly, joined the event as the guest of honor.

Muhammad Ishaq Malik, DSR Pakistan Rangers Sindh, also attended the ceremony.

Community Partners Support the Campaign

Hope Bridge Welfare Organization thanked its partners for supporting the initiative.

The organization acknowledged Shumaila Malik, President of Arsh-e-Kousar Foundation, for her contribution.

It also appreciated Murad Ali Soni, Patron-in-Chief and Founder of Community Policing Karachi (CPK).

The organization recognized Sifat Ali Bhutto, President of Rotaract Club of Karachi Sunrise.

Special thanks also went to Toufique Ahmed Bhutro, District Rotaract Representative of Rotary International District 3271.

The management of KIET University Ahsanabad Campus received appreciation for providing the venue and supporting the plantation drive.
