The Trump Netanyahu Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, President Donald Trump said on Friday, as fighting between the United States, Israel and Iran continues to escalate.

The announcement came after another round of US air strikes targeted sites across Iran, while Tehran continued retaliatory attacks against US military positions in the region.

Trump Signals Diplomacy but Keeps Military Option Open

Speaking at the White House, Trump said the United States remains engaged in diplomatic contacts with Iran but is prepared to intensify military action if negotiations fail.

“We are talking to them,” Trump told reporters. “I think they’re being serious… but that doesn’t mean we get there.”

He said Washington has two options: continue military operations or pursue a diplomatic agreement, adding that US forces remain prepared for further action.

In recent days, Trump has also threatened broader military strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure and strategic facilities.

Regional Tensions Continue to Rise

Iranian forces responded to continued US attacks by targeting American military bases in neighbouring countries and warning that additional facilities used by US personnel could also come under attack.

The conflict has expanded beyond the Strait of Hormuz after Yemen’s Houthi movement declared a naval blockade of Saudi Arabia and launched attacks on vessels in the Red Sea.

Saudi authorities reported minor damage to one of their oil tankers following an attack, while the Saudi-led coalition said it carried out strikes against Houthi military positions.

Oil Markets and Shipping Under Pressure

The conflict has disrupted global shipping routes and increased concerns over energy supplies.

Several oil tankers have altered their routes to avoid the Red Sea, while traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen sharply.

Brent crude prices eased to just above $96 per barrel on Friday after briefly reaching $100 per barrel following attacks on Saudi tankers.

Pakistan Explores Diplomatic Efforts

Sources said Pakistan is exploring ways to help revive negotiations between the United States and Iran after China initiated fresh diplomatic efforts.

Officials said exploratory discussions took place during Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni’s recent visit to Islamabad.
