Consumer rights and public welfare took centre stage as Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP) Chairman Kaukab Iqbal met Sindh Governor Syed Nehal Hashmi at the Governor House in Karachi.

During the meeting, both sides discussed consumer protection, food safety and measures to strengthen public welfare across the province. They also exchanged views on improving awareness about consumer rights and enhancing safeguards for consumers.

Kaukab Iqbal praised the governor’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote consumer protection and encourage greater public awareness throughout Sindh.

The meeting also highlighted the need for stronger cooperation between government institutions and civil society organisations to protect consumer interests and improve public confidence in consumer protection mechanisms across Pakistan.

The Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing consumer rights, promoting food safety and supporting public welfare initiatives nationwide.
