Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has praised the Communist Party of China’s people-centred governance model. He described it as an approach worth emulating.

Speaking at a joint gathering with Chinese Communist Party Minister Liu Haixing, Dar said party-building and self-accountability had contributed significantly to China’s development. He also welcomed the Chinese minister to Pakistan and appreciated the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Pakistan and China Mark Diplomatic Milestone

Dar noted that Pakistan and China were celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations. Meanwhile, the Communist Party of China was marking its 105th founding anniversary.

Under President Xi’s leadership, he said, China had advanced towards national rejuvenation. He highlighted its people-centred governance approach and political system. According to Dar, these have helped maintain close ties between the government and the public.

Dar Highlights Regional Peace Initiative

Turning to regional issues, the deputy prime minister said Pakistan and China had launched a five-point peace initiative. The initiative aims to restore peace in the Middle East.

Furthermore, Dar described the China-Pakistan Political Parties Forum and the CPEC Joint Consultation Mechanism as important platforms. He said these forums strengthen political engagement and cooperation between the two countries.

China’s Poverty Reduction Efforts Praised

Dar also praised China’s achievement in lifting millions of people out of poverty. He described this accomplishment as a historic contribution at the global level.

Moreover, he said the strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China rested on mutual trust, respect and cooperation. This longstanding relationship, he added, continued to provide a strong foundation for closer bilateral ties.

Both Countries Seek Stronger Political Cooperation

Dar said political cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese parties was already established. In addition, both countries maintained a mechanism for political consultations.

He stressed that the two sides would continue learning from each other’s experiences. Finally, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with China.
