The district administration has imposed Section 144 across Dera Ismail Khan, banning pillion riding, public gatherings, rallies and processions until November 11 over law and order concerns.
Deputy Commissioner Hikmatullah issued the order on October 13, and the restrictions took immediate effect.
The notification prohibits public meetings, gatherings, rallies and processions that could disturb public order, disrupt traffic or obstruct citizens’ movement.
The administration has also banned the display of weapons and the installation of tents or temporary structures on public roads.
The administration said it imposed the restrictions in view of the district’s prevailing law and order situation.

Authorities warned that anyone violating the order would face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The restrictions will remain in force until November 11 unless the competent authority withdraws or modifies the order earlier.
Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure empowers authorities to impose restrictions on activities that may threaten public order. Depending on the order, these measures can include bans on public gatherings, rallies, processions and the display of weapons.
Several other areas of Pakistan have also imposed restrictions under Section 144.
Karachi authorities imposed the measure on Sunday, with the restrictions scheduled to remain in effect until October 20. Rawalpindi district imposed Section 144 on Saturday for 30 days.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Home Department extended restrictions across the province until October 15, citing threats to public peace and the safety of life and property.
