Core Stack, the digital infrastructure business of Lazzari Group, and Green Arrow Capital will invest more than €1 billion ($1.12 billion) over the next four years to build 13 mid-sized data centres in Italy.
The companies announced the investment on Wednesday.
The planned facilities will run on renewable energy generated on-site. The project aims to support Italy’s growing digital infrastructure needs.
The companies expect to secure permits for the first two facilities by the end of 2027.
The sites will be located in the provinces of Cremona and Verona.

Operations at the two data centres should begin in the first quarter of 2028.
Core Stack and Green Arrow Capital will initially develop projects in northern and northeastern Italy.
The companies will then expand into central and southern regions.
The four-year programme will cover a total of 13 mid-sized data centres across the country.
The companies said the entire development programme will rely on an Italian supply chain.
The investment will support local companies involved in the construction and development of the new digital infrastructure.
