KARACHI/AMMAN: SKT Welfare has completed a humanitarian mission to Jordan to support Palestinians displaced from Gaza, including patients undergoing medical treatment away from their homes.
According to a statement issued by SKT Welfare, the delegation included humanitarian workers and a group of Pakistani actors who joined the organisation’s efforts to support displaced Palestinian families.
The visiting Pakistani personalities included Jawed Sheikh, Khaled Anam, Saba Hamid, Shagufta Ejaz, Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Ally Khan and Nabeel Zafar.
Working alongside local teams, the delegation prepared food cartons at the SKT Welfare warehouse before distributing 500 essential food parcels directly to displaced Palestinian families.
During the mission, team members also visited injured Palestinians receiving treatment in hospitals and at their homes, offering support and spending time with patients and their families.
The delegation also organised an afternoon of activities and a hot meal for children from Gaza, providing them with an opportunity to spend time in a more relaxed environment.
SKT Welfare said Palestinians evacuated from Gaza for medical treatment face challenges beyond healthcare, including accommodation, food and transportation to medical appointments. The organisation provides accommodation, meals and transport to patients throughout the year.
The latest mission builds on SKT Welfare’s humanitarian work in Jordan in 2025, when volunteers distributed food parcels and hygiene kits across refugee camps, reaching approximately 76,000 people.

“Humanitarian response means staying connected to people as their circumstances change,” said Asif Hussain, CEO of SKT Welfare.
“For some families that means support inside Gaza. For others it means support in Jordan, where they have come for treatment. This week our team met families directly, heard what they needed and acted on it,” he added.
SKT Welfare said the Jordan mission forms part of its international humanitarian deployment programme, which provides food assistance, healthcare support and other essential services to communities affected by conflict, displacement and poverty.
The organisation continues to provide assistance to families inside Gaza through local teams, including food distributions, hot meals, clean water, medical assistance, hygiene supplies and emergency shelter.

According to SKT Welfare, its programmes inside Gaza reached more than 350,000 people in 2025, including 225,450 people who received support through clean water deliveries.
Founded in 2010, SKT Welfare is a UK-registered humanitarian and development charity working with communities affected by conflict, disasters and poverty.
The organisation’s programmes cover food security, water and sanitation, healthcare, shelter and livelihoods. It said its community-focused programmes reached more than 1.2 million people across over 15 countries in 2025, including Gaza, Syria, Sudan, Pakistan and Jordan.
