KARACHI, September 28, 2026: K-Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of K-Electric’s investment arm KE Ventures Company (Pvt) Limited, has officially changed its name to K Nova.
The new identity takes effect from September 28 as the company expands its scope beyond solar energy.
K Nova will operate as an end-to-end renewable energy solutions platform, covering solar and wind power, energy storage and energy management solutions.
The rebranding forms part of K-Electric’s broader diversification strategy under its new board and management.
K-Electric is seeking to expand beyond its traditional power distribution role and develop a broader energy ecosystem.

Under the new mandate, K Nova will lead initiatives involving renewable energy generation, storage and management.
The company will explore different financing models to support the deployment of these solutions.
The strategy is also linked to K-Electric’s stated objectives around energy security, sustainability and long-term value creation.
K Nova CEO Hashim Raza said the expanded scope would create new opportunities for the company.
“As the scope of the business expands, the new identity will encompass new opportunities for K Nova to tap into,” Raza said.
He said the move comes as Pakistan seeks a more resilient, sustainable and affordable energy sector.
K Nova plans to provide energy solutions to commercial, industrial and residential customers.
The company will also work with utility partners across Pakistan.
K Nova is partnering with international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) working in solar, wind and battery technologies.
The company said these partnerships would help bring advanced technologies and products to Pakistan.
The partnerships are also expected to support technology transfer and create opportunities for local employment.
K Nova said it intends to contribute to the development of locally produced products and renewable energy solutions.
The expanded business will therefore focus not only on deploying renewable energy systems but also on building capabilities around emerging energy technologies.
The rebranding marks K Nova’s transition from a solar-focused business into a broader renewable energy platform covering generation, storage and energy management.
