The Redmi 17 has appeared on multiple regulatory databases, signalling that Xiaomi could launch its next budget smartphone in global markets soon. A fresh leak has also revealed the handset’s expected specifications, colour options and European pricing.

The upcoming smartphone recently appeared on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification database under the model number 2606FRN72Y. The same model number had previously surfaced on Indonesia’s SDPPI database, adding weight to speculation that the device is nearing its official debut.

According to a report by Ytechb, the Redmi 17 4G will launch in Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green and Lotus Purple.

The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 1,600 × 720-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The leak suggests Xiaomi will power the device with the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor. Buyers may get up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Redmi 17 4G could include a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery capacity may receive a significant upgrade. The device is expected to carry a 7,500mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging. Its predecessor, the Redmi 15 4G, offers a 7,000mAh battery and 33W charging.

The leak also claims the smartphone will measure 170.12 × 78.42 × 8.8mm and weigh 232 grams. Other expected features include NFC support and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Pricing details suggest the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model could cost €250 (around $286). Meanwhile, the 256GB storage version may launch at €280 (around $320).

Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the Redmi 17 4G’s specifications, pricing or launch date.
